Chris Lightner, Aimee Pickett Sanders Elected to Atlanta Bar Association for 2020-2021 Term

Alston & Bird partner Chris Lightner has been elected secretary of the board of directors of the Atlanta Bar Association, where he is joined by associate Aimee Pickett Sanders, who was elected member-at-large on the board of directors of the association’s Bankruptcy Section, a position she held in 2019-2020. 

Lightner, who served as treasurer of the association for the 2019-2020 term, is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property – Mechanical Patents Team. He focuses his practice on patent procurement for a wide range of technologies, including mechanical and electromechanical devices, medical devices, composite materials, manufacturing processes, and business methods. 

Sanders is a member of Alston & Bird’s Financial Restructuring & Reorganization Group, where she represents clients in complex bankruptcy cases, workouts, debt restructurings, distressed acquisitions and dispositions, and commercial litigation. She also advises clients on out-of-court workouts and insolvency and bankruptcy-related litigation matters. 

Lightner and Sanders will serve in their positions for the 2020-2021 term.
