Alston & Bird senior associate Danny Reach has been elected co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Taxation’s Sales, Exchanges, and Basis Committee.
Reach, who will serve as co-chair for a two-year term alongside Cargill Tax Counsel Rafi Mottahedeh, is a member of Alston & Bird’s Federal and International Tax Group. Focusing his practice on tax planning and structuring for domestic and international business entities and individuals, he assists clients in restructuring their global operations and provides tax and corporate advice for mergers and acquisitions, structured finance transactions, cross-border financings, and securitizations.
The ABA Taxation Section’s Sales, Exchange, and Basis Committee focuses on a broad range of tax provisions covering the transfer and tax basis of property.
Reach was previously a vice-chair of the committee for its 2019-2020 term.
