Jason Goode, partner in Alston & Bird’s REITs & Funds Team, has been recognized by the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) with its 2021 “Outstanding Service Award.”
The award honors individual IPA members who have dedicated themselves to improving the portfolio diversifying investments (PDI) industry for the benefit of all.
As co-chair of IPA’s Policy, Regulatory & Legal Affairs Committee since 2019, Goode has worked alongside industry peers to review and formulate policy positions and prepare agency comment letters, congressional materials, and other documents. He has volunteered countless hours and been integral in developing and implementing the association’s policy advocacy priorities.
Goode has more than 20 years’ experience advising public and private companies on fund formation, M&A, public securities offerings, and private placements. He focuses his practice on the real estate investment trust (REIT) and real estate fund industry, where he regularly counsels boards of directors on corporate governance issues and broker-dealers on regulatory compliance.
The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives provides national leadership for the PDI industry, bringing together the top asset managers, product distribution partners, and industry service providers who are dedicated to driving transparency and innovation in the marketplace.
