Alston & Bird attorneys Jason Cooper, Chris Gegg, Chris Lightner, Dane Baltich, and Joe Liebeschuetz have been recognized among the world’s top intellectual property strategists by Intellectual Asset Management in the 2025 edition of the “IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists.”
Jason, who is the past chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Area, has been named to this prestigious guide for nine years in a row. Focusing his practice on mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace and medical device technologies, he manages and helps monetize patent portfolios of various domestic and international clients.
Chris Gegg and Chris Lightner, both members of the firm’s Patent Prosecution, Counseling & Review Group, were named to the guide for the third consecutive year. With patent experience in more than 30 countries, Gegg counsels domestic and international companies in design and utility patent matters and handles IP due diligence and agreements for corporate transactions. Lightner focuses his practice on strategic growth and management of international patent portfolios, along with transactional IP-driven due diligence, licensing agreement, and brokerage issues.
Dane Baltich and Joe Liebeschuetz, also members of the Patent Prosecution, Counseling & Review group, were named to the guide. Dane offers his clients insightful counsel on a wide range of intellectual property matters, positioning patent portfolios for monetization, downstream litigation, and other strategic purposes for both domestic and international clients. Joe Liebeschuetz has focused his practice on representing biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in patent matters.
