Alston & Bird Fuels London Growth with Two Structured Finance Partners

Alston & Bird has added partners Steven Krivinskas and Marcus Lovatt to its Structured & Warehouse Finance Team in London, reinforcing the firm’s global finance platform and the office’s continued expansion. Both advise leading financial institutions, credit funds, and specialist nonbank lenders on sophisticated funding and capital markets transactions.

“Cross-border expertise is increasingly important in today’s structured finance market, particularly for complex transactions,” said Tara Castillo, partner and co-leader of the firm’s Finance Group. “Steven and Marcus bring the judgment and experience that enhance our ability to guide clients through these intricate deals.”

Steven counsels global credit funds, banks, and corporations on structured credit, portfolio sales, and securitizations involving consumer, student, commercial, and residential mortgage assets. He also advises on cross-border funding structures integrating the U.S. and European markets.

Marcus represents specialist lenders, banks, and asset managers on a wide range of public and private securitizations, asset-backed financing structures, structured products, and derivative transactions. He handles transactions across various asset classes but has a particular focus on residential mortgages, consumer loans, auto finance, NPLs, and esoteric assets such as litigation receivables.

“We are pleased to welcome Steven and Marcus as part of our expanding London team,” said Paul Simcock, partner-in-charge of Alston & Bird’s London office. “Their addition strengthens our international platform and reinforces our commitment to growth across the UK and Europe.”

“We’re excited to join Alston & Bird and a team recognized across the structured finance market,” said Steven.

“With a pragmatic, forward-looking approach, we’re ready to help clients navigate complex financings and access global capital markets,” said Marcus.
