Maddy Byrd has wide-ranging experience litigating complex IP litigation disputes before U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and represents clients in the life sciences, biotechnology, telecommunications, smartphones, and semiconductor industries. Previously, Maddy served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Todd M. Hughes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Maddy received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the New York University School of Law and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, she was the senior articles editor for the NYU Journal of Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law. She received her B.A. in chemistry, magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University.
