Scott Kummer is co-chair of the firm’s Corporate & Business Transactions Group. His practice concentrates on negotiating and structuring complex business transactions, including leveraged buyouts, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and growth equity investments, joint ventures, and general corporate counseling. Scott’s experience includes extensive representation of private equity funds and their portfolio companies.

Scott received his J.D., with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005. While in law school, he served as the editor-in-chief of the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal. Scott received his Master of Accounting in 2000 and his B.S. in business administration in 1999, each from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
