Maryann H. Luongo serves as counsel in the firm’s State & Local Tax Group. She focuses her practice on state and local tax planning and controversy, and addresses clients’ multistate tax issues, including state income tax apportionment, tax base, business/nonbusiness income determinations, telecommunications and sales/use tax nexus, sourcing and taxability issues. Maryann also represents clients in tax controversy matters in the state administrative forums, as well as in state courts. She assists clients with unclaimed property legal issues, including multistate audit defense, voluntary disclosure and planning ranging from drafting policies/procedures and compliance plans to helping clients restructure their organization to help manage their stored value card businesses.

Maryann is a frequent speaker at national and regional Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization conferences, as well as COST and TEI conferences.
