• Counseled a leading manufacturing company in all aspects of product regulation, safety, and potential hazards, including investigations, product recalls, and other corrective actions, warranties, warnings, and testing.
• Defended a Fortune 500 airline in a multiphase breach of contract jury trial. Obtained a favorable settlement following the first phase of the jury trial. (N.D. Ga.).
• Negotiated a favorable settlement for a Fortune 500 fintech company in a dispute with a large merchant over interchange rates and chargeback fees.
• Defending the exclusive U.S. importer of a luxury car manufacturer in multiple class actions in Georgia federal court.
• Defended an investment firm in an SEC investigation involving suspected marketing violations. The SEC declined to move forward with an enforcement action.
• Counsel to the audit committee of an $800 million public company in connection with the resignation and whistleblower contentions of a former senior corporate officer.

Kaylan Meaza represents clients in a wide assortment of litigation in state and federal courts. While Kaylan represents clients across many industries, she focuses her practice on the financial services and manufacturing industries. Within financial services, Kaylan has significant experience representing fintech and payment processing companies, as well as banks, large merchants, and other financial institutions regarding payment processing matters.

Kaylan advises clients in a wide variety of business disputes, including matters involving breach of contract, product liability, fraud, business torts, and consumer product safety. Kaylan often represents financial services and manufacturing clients in state and federal consumer class actions. Kaylan has extensive experience conducting internal investigations on behalf of public and private organizations and their boards, as well as counseling clients on remedial actions and disclosure decisions. Kaylan also defends companies in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions by the SEC and other federal and state agencies.
