Robert Poole is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on federal commercial litigation and government investigations. Before joining Alston & Bird, Robert served as a law clerk for the Hon. Robert James Conrad, Jr. of the Western District of North Carolina. He also worked at the Georgia Court of Appeals, Birmingham public defender office, and Senator Johnny Isakson’s office.
Robert earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as the online editor on the Georgia Law Review’s executive board and president of the Student Bar Association. Robert is also a member of the Order of the Coif and Order of Barristers. Robert competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2016 and 2017 and won best oralist in the 2016 United States Southern Regional Rounds. For his undergraduate studies, Robert attended the University of Georgia, graduated magna cum laude, and earned a B.F.A. in painting and a B.A. in journalism.
