- Counsel to lenders and borrowers in commercial transactions ranging from $25 million to $2 billion, including asset-based lending facilities, warehouse financing facilities, debtor-in-possession financings, and real estate financings.
- Represented an international financial institution as lender in a $150 million repurchase facility with a mortgage loan originator that was acquired by a specialized investment manager for $1.5 billion in a transaction that closed simultaneously with, and was facilitated by, the repurchase facility.
- Represented the lender, an international banking institution, as lead counsel in a C$300 million repurchase facility with a real estate debt fund, secured by multijurisdictional collateral across the U.S., Canada, and Luxembourg.
- Represented an international financial institution as the administrative agent and lender in a $1 billion single family rental financing facility with a real estate investment firm with over 40 borrower parties involved in the transaction.

Emily Redmerski is counsel in the Finance Group working with financial institutions, non-bank lenders, issuers, originators, and investors in connection with mortgage-backed and asset-backed securitizations and the purchase, sale, servicing, warehousing, and financing of mortgage loans and other financial assets. The Best Lawyers in America® recognized Emily on its “Ones to Watch” list in the area of Banking and Finance Law for 2021–2022.
Emily has significant experience with repurchase and warehouse facilities, secured lending agreements, securitizations, and other structured finance arrangements. She focuses her practice on financings secured by residential mortgage loans, including non-agency and investor mortgage loans, commercial mortgage loans, real-estate owned properties and single-family rental properties.
Emily received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, with a concentration in corporate law. While in law school, Emily was named a Cardozo Scholar three times. She served as a member of the Cardozo Journal of Law & Gender and as a teaching assistant for first-year Real Property.
Emily contributes to pro bono endeavors, including working with Her Justice, a non-profit organization that serves low-income women in New York City in immigration and divorce matters.
