Chaim Stern advises private fund sponsors and a broad range of investors on tax-efficient structuring across the fund lifecycle, secondary transactions, and private fund mergers and acquisitions. He also counsels on the tax elements of financial products, including the creation and evaluation of novel instruments and unique structures.
Chaim’s experience spans private equity and credit funds, real estate partnerships, and registered investment vehicles. He served as in-house counsel at Goldman Sachs, providing tax-planning support for firm’s asset management business for more than 15 years. Chaim is a regular contributor to Tax Notes.
