Shannon Vreeland is an associate with Alston & Bird’s Environment, Land Use & Natural Resources Group.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Shannon served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Duane Benton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
She received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she served as an articles editor for both the Vanderbilt Law Review and Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review, and received the Chris Lantz Award for leadership. She earned her B.A. in economics and international affairs, summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia.
Shannon is also an accomplished competitive swimmer. She was a collegiate All-American and a member of the U.S. national team, earning 19 international medals, including a gold medal for Team USA at the 2012 Olympic Games.
