Thomas G. Walker

• Counsel to businesses and individuals before a variety of government agencies, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Agriculture Risk Management Agency, and the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
• Conducting corporate internal investigations and counsels companies and individuals concerning federal grand jury investigations.
• Led the multidistrict prosecution of a major utility company for criminal violations of the federal Clean Water Act, resulting in guilty pleas and more than $100 million in fines.
• Led numerous successful criminal and civil prosecutions of major health care providers for violations of the federal False Claims Act. 
• Worked closely with the National Security Division of the DOJ in the successful prosecution of numerous federal terrorism-related matters.

A former presidentially appointed U.S. attorney, Thomas Walker concentrates his practice in government investigations, internal corporate investigations, and white-collar criminal defense.

Thomas is ranked Band 1 by Chambers USA for White Collar Crime and Government Investigations. In Chambers, his clients have described Thomas as “very good with government investigations” and someone who “knows North Carolina inside and out.” Thomas has extensive jury trial experience in state and federal courts and previously served as special counsel to North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper.
