Amy West represents debtors, lenders, creditors, and other stakeholders in a broad range of corporate restructuring and bankruptcy matters. Her experience includes Chapter 11 proceedings, distressed situations, and complex in-court and out-of-court restructurings.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Amy advised clients on aspects of bankruptcy proceedings and restructuring transactions. She has experience drafting restructuring-related agreements, as well as preparing pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda in Chapter 11 cases.
Amy earned her J.D., with distinction, in business law, from Brooklyn Law School, where she served on the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial & Commercial Law. While in law school, Amy served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Vincent F. Papalia in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
