Visiting Alston & Bird from a Tokyo-based law firm, Tetsu Yuasa focuses his practice on employment counseling and litigation and advises clients on foreign legal regulations in connection with corporate matters, particularly in relation to employment issues. He also counsels on employment policies, labor contracts, harassment lawsuits, workplace investigations, and due diligence. Additionally, Tetsu spent several years at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, providing guidance on various workplace regulations and employee compensation systems.
Tetsu received his LL.M. from Columbia Law School and his LL.B. from Keio University. After pursuing his undergraduate degree, Tetsu received comprehensive hands-on training as a legal apprentice in the Otsu District Court, the Otsu District Public Prosecutors’ Office, and a private law firm through the Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan.
