Donald Hammett, Jr. is co-leader of Alston & Bird’s REITs Team. Don has over 25 years of experience advising public and private clients on corporate and tax/structure issues related to the formation and financing of REITs, partnerships, funds, and other pooled capital vehicles. He also counsels clients on mergers and acquisitions involving corporate entities, REITs, partnerships, limited liability companies, and other pass-through entities.
Don regularly advises clients on the formation of investment funds, including UPREITs and DownREITs, and counsels clients on the formation of acquisition vehicles and various debt and equity structures.
