Alston & Bird has an immediate need for an International Trade Senior Associate or Counsel to join an integrated, full-service international trade practice. More experienced candidates with relevant credentials may also be considered. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in customs matters, including counseling, ruling requests, prior disclosures, protests, petitions, ruling requests and audit defense involving tariff classification, valuation, free trade agreements, and the application of trade remedies. Experience in advising on tariffs imposed under IEEPA, Section 232 and Section 301 is also expected. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials along with strong verbal, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills. The group also handles a wide array of export control and sanctions matters (EAR, ITAR, OFAC), including compliance counseling, licensing, voluntary disclosures, and enforcement defense, as well as CFIUS and related national security regulatory matters.
