Bill Jordan will present the session “Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Program Integrity Initiatives Against Health Plans in the Trump Administration at Nine Months and What to Expect in the Future” at the Institute for Health Plan Counsel, hosted by the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA). Bill will discuss program integrity initiatives against health plans in the Trump Administration, CMS program integrity and enforcement efforts in the managed care/health plan space, what early results have come from these initiatives and what the future for CMS-driven litigation looks like, and how managed care plans can be responsive to CMS and the compliance efforts they can take to avoid enforcement problems.

This session will be the first in a series of programs designed specifically for in-house counsel at health plans and their outside counsel and advisors. The program will provide an intensive day and a half of informative and practical education on topics including fraud, waste, and abuse program integrity initiatives in the Trump Administration; plan-provider disputes; pharmacy benefits and trends; ACA Section 1557; value-based payment arrangements; and Medicare Advantage risk adjustment.
