Alston & Bird was inducted into the Daily Business Review’s 2015 “Florida Verdicts Hall of Fame” after representing Mohawk Industries in a matter that earned the No. 1 spot for Florida’s largest jury verdict of the year in the Contracts category.
The Alston & Bird trial team, led by Doug Scribner, Daniel C. Norris and Jason Rottner, secured a $70.1 million circuit court victory against Arizona Chemical Co. LLC in a breach-of-contract dispute.
The Mohawk win was also recognized by The National Law Journal as one of the country’s “Top 100 Verdicts of 2014.”
This is the second year that the Daily Business Review has published its “Florida Verdicts Hall of Fame,” which honors the top cases in five practice areas: Admiralty, Contracts, Intellectual Property, Medical Malpractice and Wrongful Death. The rankings are based on four years of data collected through its affiliate, Verdict Search. The cases were then ranked by size of verdict.
