Alston & Bird has added two new partners to its Litigation & Trial Practice Group, expanding the firm’s West Coast commercial litigation capabilities. Devin Donohue joins the firm’s Century City office and Andy Hutchison joins the San Francisco office. Together, Devin and Andy bring significant courtroom experience, commercial litigation depth, and practical counsel for clients facing complex business disputes.

Devin represents companies, financial institutions, executives, and nonprofit organizations in complex business disputes, with a practice that spans commercial litigation, arbitration, internal investigations, employment matters, trade secrets, corporate governance, and securities-related disputes. Over more than 25 years, he has served as lead trial counsel in more than 500 court matters and arbitrations, including matters involving financial services, technology, manufacturing, and nonprofit clients. Devin also brings the perspective of a former litigation boutique owner, helping clients weigh legal risk against broader operational and business considerations.

Andy is a complex commercial litigator who advises companies on disputes and litigation risk involving significant operational, regulatory, financial, and reputational exposure. He represents clients in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels, mediations, and arbitrations across class action, commercial, employment, professional liability, trade secret, intellectual property, and other business disputes. Andy also defends consumer protection and privacy class actions and advises companies in the food, beverage, cosmetics, and supplement industries on advertising, labeling, warranty, FDA, FTC, and Proposition 65 matters.
