Daniel Felz is an associate in the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group with a focus on privacy and security, including European Union data protection. Daniel practices international litigation, trade and regulation, with particular emphasis on multijurisdictional litigation, complex transactions and class actions. He is also a member of the firm’s German Practice Team.
Daniel is a member of the 2016 Leadership Class of The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
Daniel received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia and was previously an associate professor of law at the University of Mainz in Germany. There, he developed the law school’s M&A curriculum and wrote an extensive practice manual on multijurisdictional tort litigation and the international legal risks it entails for multinational companies. He also regularly taught courses on cross-border litigation with European experts and contributed to several standard commentaries on international sales law. Daniel clerked for the Honorable B. Avant Edenfield in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia and for the Honorable Martin Hoffman in the 68th Judicial District Court in Dallas County.
Daniel is admitted to practice before the state courts of Texas and New York. He is bilingual in German, an intermediate French and Spanish speaker, and a beginner in Arabic.
