Saloni Joshi leads Alston & Bird’s Secondaries practice. She has over 28 years’ experience in this space, becoming a trusted adviser to fund sponsors, asset managers, pension and investors in private funds, secondaries, and private-equity-related transactions. Saloni has independently built and grown an outstanding and loyal client base of institutional clients active in all types of secondary transactions, including GP-led, single-asset, and multi-asset continuation vehicles, secondary direct transactions, and co-investments.

Saloni trained and qualified at a London Magic Circle law firm, practiced in London and Singapore, and was instrumental in founding and building the international funds practice at a leading international U.S. law firm. She established and managed her own private equity law firm for over 10 years before returning to practice at the firm where she leads and manages a dedicated secondaries team and actively supports the growth and development of the London office.

Saloni is a regular speaker at secondary conferences and networking events , holding quarterly investor-focused secondary panel events. She leads the Women’s Initiative in London and is on the board of the firm’s WI executive committee. She is an outstanding mentor for all women looking to progress and advance their careers in the industry.
