• Defending a company in a Proposition 65 claim concerning alleged environmental exposures to nickel emissions.
• Representing a health care corporation in privacy related class action lawsuits nationwide involving the use of third-party tracking technologies.
• Representing and advising consumer facing companies against Video Protection Privacy Act (VPPA) claims.
• Represented a health plan in compelled arbitration involving complicated questions regarding the medical appropriateness of services rendered.
• Argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, winning a remand for a client facing removal from the United States.

Jane Kaufman focuses her practice on handling complex commercial litigation matters. Jane has significant experience in the energy and health sectors. Her litigation defense practice spans single plaintiff defense as well as complex class action defense. Additionally, she has worked on novel legal issues in the privacy space for health care and other consumer facing companies.

While earning her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola Law School, Jane was the chief note & comment editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and the president of Loyola’s Health Law and Bioethics Association. She earned her B.A. in history from Duke University.
