Lindsey Magaro is a partner in Alston & Bird’s Investment Funds Group and a member of the REITs & Funds Team. Lindsey represents real estate companies, including listed and non-listed REITs, real estate funds, and investment management firms with fund formation, public securities offerings, and private placements. Lindsey regularly advises her clients on corporate governance issues and counsels broker-dealers on compliance with applicable FINRA rules.
Lindsey is an active member of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives, a forward-thinking trade association that is proactively shaping and leading the field of portfolio diversified investments. Lindsey is also actively invested in the firm’s talent and culture, having served on the firm’s Hiring Committee and Associates Committee, and recruits and mentors summer and lateral associates.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Lindsey received her J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she served as an executive editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. Lindsey received her B.A., summa cum laude, in peace studies and Spanish from Manchester College. Lindsey is active in community and social justice initiatives, and has led 76 attorneys in a pro bono project to further a charitable organization’s mission to provide lifesaving resources and information for forced marriage survivors and advocates.
