Garrett Stanton is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Environment, Land Use & Natural Resources Group. Garrett has experience representing corporations and high net-worth individuals in litigation matters throughout California in both federal and state courts.
Garrett has experience managing all aspects of litigation. His experience includes preparing pretrial pleadings and law and motion practice, including demurrers, motions to strike, motions to compel, motions for summary judgment, motions for judgment on the pleadings, and motions in limine. Garrett also has experience with trial preparation, preparing for and participating in settlement negotiations and mediations, propounding and responding to written discovery, and taking and defending depositions.
Garrett earned his J.D. in 2018 from UC Davis and received his B.A. in 2015 from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He previously served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Dennis M. Perluss of the California Court of Appeal, Second District and the Hon. Stephen H. Glickman of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
