• Counsel to one of the nation’s largest providers of dialysis services in two federal health care fraud investigations alleging criminal and civil liability under the False Claims Act, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute.
• Counsel in breast implant and pharmaceutical products liability litigation.
• Counsel to one of the nation’s leading outsourcers of perfusion, autotransfusion, apheresis and other blood treatment services in medical malpractice litigation.
• Served as e-discovery counsel for one of the nation’s largest automobile insurance companies defending numerous class actions and individual cases consolidated in an MDL concerning allegations of bad faith and RICO violations.
• Appointed e-discovery liaison in high-stakes securities litigation for a major provider of psychiatric services. 
• Counseled a major automotive supply company on e-discovery issues, cross-border discovery disputes and international data privacy laws in connection with a federal antitrust investigation and subsequent civil litigation.

Annette Teichert is a partner with more than 20 years of experience as a litigator and legal consultant on issues involving document management and information governance, electronic discovery, cross-border discovery issues and data security and privacy. She is a founding co-lead of Alston & Bird’s Special Resources and Electronic Discovery unit, a member of Alston & Bird's Litigation & Trial Practice Team and the Data Security & Privacy Committee.

As a litigator, Annette has represented top corporations in civil actions and government investigations in health care fraud, products liability litigation and financial litigation. Since 2008, she has served as one of Alston & Bird’s go-to consultants on matters of ESI management and e-discovery; counseling clients on preservation, collection and production of electronic data; and representing them in court in e-discovery disputes and hearings. Through her years of experience in e-discovery matters, Annette has developed cost-effective and creative strategies for managing the ever-increasing demands of e-discovery in legal disputes and investigations. Annette is active in both regional and national e-discovery organizations and is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences on issues surrounding e-discovery.

Annette is a member of the Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention & Production, State Bar of Georgia and American Bar Association. She received her J.D. from the University of Georgia.
