Alston & Bird client Zebra Technologies Corporation has completed its acquisition of the enterprise business of Motorola Solutions, Inc., for $3.45 billion. The transaction involved more than 5,000 employees and contractors in over 50 countries and facilities located at over 100 sites.
In support of the transaction, Zebra Technologies engaged Alston & Bird to conduct full-scale due diligence of Motorola Solution’s intellectual property (IP) assets. The assessment spanned more than 3,500 patent references, 700 trademarks, numerous agreements and complex licenses and other forms of IP.
Based in Lincolnshire, IL, Zebra is a global leader in on-demand printing solutions and state-of-the-art software and hardware technologies. It operates in more than 25 countries and has over 2,500 employees.
