The Deal | Falfurrias Exits American Safety in Sale to Ridgemont

Alston & Bird is pleased to announce that three financial services and private equity deals advised by the firm have been recognized by The Deal Awards 2021. In addition, Chris Frieden, partner in the firm’s Financial Services & Products Group, was named “Financial Services Dealmaker of the Year (Middle Market).”

Alston & Bird client Ridgemont Equity Partners has acquired American Safety Council (ASC), a national leader in online workforce training, education, and certification, from private equity firm Falfurrias Capital.

Mark Kelly, Ben Weadon, Scott Kummer, Dan Rowe, Kristen Whitt, Maureen Harmon, Mike Stevens, Blake MacKay, Kyle Woods, John Baron, Danny Reach, Chris Gegg, and Brett Coburn are noted for representing Ridgemont Equity Partners in its acquisition of American Safety Council from Falfurrias Capital.

Matthew Wrysinski, partner and co-chair of Alston & Bird’s Finance Group, has been recognized as a top private equity advisor in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
