Alston & Bird’s various intellectual property groups have ranked highly in Intellectual Asset Management magazine’s recently released 2014 adjunct publication, IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Professionals. The firm was recommended for IP Litigation nationally and earned Gold (the highest) rankings overall in both Georgia and North Carolina, and Bronze for IP Litigation in New York and California. Additionally, the firm was recommended for Patent Prosecution in California and for its national ITC practice.
According to the publication, “Alston & Bird is an ideal choice for multinationals with complex billing structures because it always delivers what in-house counsel ask for in a timely fashion” and “can be recommended in a heartbeat.”
The publication also touted the firm’s strong support to its young partners, a move which, according to the publication, “paid off handsomely” with Natalie Clayton, who is counted as a fast-rising star.
Guy Gosnell was praised for displaying a gift for securing “watertight protection” for his client and Michael Connor was praised for doing a fabulous job “focusing on the end game, but always remaining circumspect about where cases are heading.”
Jamie Underwood was also named an influential voice in the ITC community and was praised for providing strong leadership.
