Alston & Bird Represents Syniverse and Carlyle in Multi-Billion Dollar Acquisitions

Alston & Bird Represents Syniverse in $2.6 Billion Acquisition by Carlyle

 

Alston & Bird represented Syniverse Technologies in a $2.6 billion takeover by the Carlyle Group.  Partner David Brown of the firm’s D.C. office led a cross-practice Alston & Bird team that included partners Justin Howard, Christopher Rosselli, Paul Cushing, Teresa Bonder, Emily Mao, Michael Stevens, George Taulbee and Jason Waite.

 

The firm last year also represented Syniverse on its $175 million acquisition of VeriSign's messaging and mobile media business.

 

 

Alston & Bird Represents Carlyle in $3.5 Billion Acquisition of CommScope

 

Alston & Bird recently advised the Carlyle Group on its $3.5 billion acquisition of telecommunications equipment maker CommScope, based in North Carolina.

 

Partner C. Mark Kelly led a cross-practice Alston & Bird team that included partners Gary Ivey, John Baron, Christopher Gegg, John Latham, Lee Rimler, Beverlee Silva, Blake MacKay and Michael Stevens, and counsel David Jacobs.

 

The firm last year advised the private equity firm on its acquisition of OpenLink Financial, a financial software products company.
