Alston & Bird Marks 10 Years as “Client Service Standout”

For the 10th year, Alston & Bird has earned recognition among general counsel as a “client service standout” in a new study by BTI Consulting Group.

As reported in the BTI Client Service A-Team 2016, “Alston & Bird’s superior client service performance propels the firm 7 spots higher” in the study’s elite “Client Service 30,” where it ranks No. 8 among the top 30 U.S. law firms described by BTI as the “cream of the client service crop.”

Moreover, as further noted by BTI in its report, Alston & Bird is one of only 13 law firms that have been highlighted in the Client Service 30 for 10 or more years.

“As a 10-time member of the BTI Client Service 30, Alston & Bird continues to redefine client expectations of law firms,” the report highlighted. “Corporate counsel are impressed by the firm’s improved client focus, a more keen understanding of client’s business, and the ability to deliver value at leadership levels. Alston & Bird has become world class in delivering on time and on budget and is ranked as best-in-class in advising clients on business issues.”

The Client Service A-Team 2016 measures 322 firms across nearly 20 attributes described by general counsel as essential to delivering superior client service and driving the best relationships. According to BTI, the top 30 firms had the “highest overall scores in client service delivery” and are “setting — and raising — the standard for what clients expect from law firms.”

The report further underscores Alston & Bird’s client service leadership and marketplace differentiation that have been highlighted in other recent BTI surveys.

In September, Alston & Bird was singled out by general counsel as one of only four firms favored for IP litigation and one of only six firms preferred for commercial litigation. The study — BTI Litigation Outlook 2016: Changes, Trends and Opportunities for Law Firms — comprised more than 160 law firms serving large and Fortune 1000 clients.

And in July, for the fifth consecutive year, Alston & Bird was identified as one of a small number of firms that general counsel are willing to bet their reputation on and recommend to their peers in BTI’s Most Recommended Law Firms 2015.

Now in its 15th year, the BTI Client Service A-Team 2016 is based on in-depth interviews with more than 300 legal decision makers at businesses earning at least $1 billion in revenue per year and spanning more than 16 industries, including financial services, energy and insurance.
